sitting here in long beach waiting to be unloaded. swift has been sending us loads fairly quick lately so i havent had time to blog, which in the long run is good. although the loads have been short hauls, around 600 miles it still pays (a little)
its time for me to do my solo test with swift. then i start getting paid by the mile, and not the guarteened training wage. i hope i make more by the mile but we will see. if will makes more than i do then we may have to re-think our driving schedule. i have been driving during the day and will at night. but night driving is shorter on our trips. so who ever makes more money should do the bulk of the driving, right.........yuck, that means i might have to start taking the night shift.
we drove through los vegas, the beavers were playing UNLV would have loved to stop and thrown money away, maybe tried to see the game. i did not like doing that driving. the pass is awful. i had to go down into 5th gear thats slow.............
we have a load of alfafa pellets, all lose and shifting around back there. we thought they were going to unload the same way they did bark that we hauled awhile ago. you dis connect the trailer from the tractor and the trailer is on a big lift and dumps the trailer up side down. looks cool.
i have the video i need to down load and post.but this place us using a loader to unload us. its taking longer.
hope to get home soon, troutdale says they will try to have a bigger truck for us. im sure its just a carrot they dangle in front of us.
