back to work
its back to work now. home time was nice. already counting the days. trying to figure out how we can be home for easter.
while we were home, i was talked into a new cell phone. its a chocolate touch. cute, but of course i need my pictures put on the new phone, and i cant find all my ring tones. still getting used to it. it has a touch screen and that makes texting a little interesting because i click one letter when i meant to choose the one next to it.
we thought that we would be getting better south bound loads. but not much has changed. we were able to get 2 fedex runs in. then our third south bound load threw a wrench into the whole plan. it was actually two runs a short run totaling 135 miles. (big whoop)
the second trip was to fontana. so all that means is we wont get a 3rd fedex trip in this week. but on the other hand, it was going to be good miles down to fontana. we have a thought about fedex too, everytime we deliver, there are more interstate trucks. last time there was 5. so we arent sure how long swift will have this account anyway. it seems pretty funny that fedex would be bringing in so many other trucks, if swift was doing a good job, they wouldnt need to hire other carriers. just some food for thought.

on our way south our computer co-pilot program died. tried to take our lap top with it. so we had to buy a dash mount gps mapping program. it speaks the street names, which are other one didnt, it just told you to turn right just ahead. so this one says turn right on to main street. that part is nice. but is doesnt let you review the trip before you click drive. we like to compare the computer directions to the directions from swift. there is usually a few different turns and will, will look at the map and see why one choose one way and one choose another, then he decides which way we will go.

also on our way south, lathrop messaged us that they wanted us to drop our trailer in lathrop, and pick up a fedex load, in oakland going to spokane. seems like lathrop wants to keep us on fedex more than our own home terminal does. but that does leave us up in spokane to spend our 34 off. and there is no terminal there. and getting a south bound load in time for us to make a fedex run without having to sit in fresno for 12 hours.
so looks like we will be parking next to the kmart again. its not bad, different stuff than walmart and they do have a bath room. there are no open 24 hours. but so far the new medicine i got for my ibs seems to be working. i still keep my fingers crossed with every meal.
i finished blood sucking friends by christopher more. funny, but not as funny as the gospel according to biff, and the stupidest angel.
im going to start reading the gifts of the jews by thomas cahill. i read how the irish saved civilization and that was a good history lesson. i havent done much on my cross stitch, mostly because when i have time it is dark and bumpy. so its a good time to read. maybe on our 34 off i can get to it.
or it may be a good time to get started on the taxes. i can buy turbo tax at kmart.
boaring i know,but i think thats about all there is this time.
