our trip from grandview washington, to fresno was anything but uneventful.

we picked up our loaded trailer from walmart and headed out. the route swift sent  us  included  WA22 to US97. it didnt take long for snow to start covering the already frozen roads.  we turned on to WA22  only a few miles on that road and it quickly became white out conditions.
      huge flakes.
so will (yes he was driving) made an executive decision , to turn around and take I82 to I84.
that plan worked well enough, it  got us to biggs junction, where I84 and US97 meet. that is where we stayed the night. we had to hunt for a spot and almost didnt find one. luckily a truck left his spot and we grabbed it.
                                          leaving biggs junction
we left biggs  at 7am and made it to chilquien at 1:30 only 250 miles. slow going. several accidents. it seems like the sand is never on our side of the road.  we saw many cars flying there 'go ducks' flags, obviously on there way to the rose bowl. saw one vehicle in the ditch, duck flags still flapping' in the wind.
will telling me where i should stand to get a good picture.

now we are sitting 3 miles past the kla-mo-ya casino, we've been waiting in line  for about 1 hour so far, because there is an accident about 10 miles in front of us.  if we'd know that we would have stayed at the casino and donated some money.
waiting for the accident to clear

after sitting for about 2 hours.....we were again on our way.  i am happy to report the rest of the  trip WAS  UNEVENTFUL. i do have some photos i will be uploading, i can do that when we have our 34 hours off at a hotel.

i have to make a peanut butter sandwich and go to bed.  i need to be all rested for our 4am fedex.  i cant help but worry about what will be waiting for us when we get to kent.  more local delivery's ? or nothing at all because it will be friday jan 1 2010 when we get there. i already know it is hoping for too much to have a south bound load ready and waiting for us.  i would much rather take our 34 off down in lathrop. then we can be there are available to fedex monday.

      love and miss you all,
